Promac: New Year, New Partners

Understanding that our customers demand that we keep innovating and delivering quality lines of equipment, Promac has launched its new website so clients can browse our full range of machinery suppliers, goods and services in a far more friendly and informative way. The new website now uses simple tabs to our machinery ranges as well as giving detail about Promac’s own goods and services.

Along with the new website comes the announcement of new machinery and equipment ranges to complement our existing portfolio, Promac is proud to announce its collaboration with two of Europe’s leading manufacturers of glass tempering, bending and laminating equipment: Glassrobots and Mappi International.

Glassrobots, based in Tampere, Finland, is an experienced manufacturer of tempering machines and flat laminating lines for architecture as well as an impressive range of furnaces that bend glass for the transport sectors. Its patented full convection system delivers outstanding optical clarity with high speed production providing perfect tempering results to bronze, silvered, painted, solar control and super low E types of glass.

Mappi International has a long established pedigree in glass tempering and has developed the Fox range of equipment with high build specification and technological features usually associated with far more complex ranges of equipment. The performance levels deliver high speed production coupled with enviable quality. Incredibly competitive, with an array of technical features, this plant is extremely well suited for the flat glass and processing industry.

Handling range

With enforced legislation governing the lifting and handling of heavy goods within the workplace and along with an increase of industrial claims for injuries arising from the same, Promac is delighted to add to its range of machinery, lifting and handling equipment specifically tailored for the window, door and glass sector. Famatec Handling Solutions is a world leader in the development of lifting manipulators for industry, with a prestigious client list such as Rolls Royce Aerospace, BMW, Toshiba and Pilkington to name but a few. The company’s manipulators have a lifting range of 30kgs – 500kgs and work independently of power with just one pneumatic service air supply. The fixed arm configuration delivers extreme stability, with near weightless performance whatever the load, protecting the operator from injury whilst offering maximum flexibility. The standard range of manipulators have been designed to accommodate all areas of our sector from glass handling, doors and window manufacture as well as installation and fitting.

Elephant lifting range

Lifting via an overhead crane, pillar or gantry is remains a vital aspect of dealing with flat glass. Our collaboration with Elephant Vacuum Lifters covers this application and more. Elephant as the name might suggest is built to withstand the rigours of high loads in excess of 1200kgs whilst delivering accurate, safe flexible lifting solutions. The range lifts glass, wood, marble and steel and includes single sheet grabs too. All of the lifting equipment comes with twin safety circuits with innovative solutions for multi axis handling.

We believe these additional partners truly offer our customers a new, competitive choice which strengthens our brand by offering the very best the sector has to offer, with support from our sales, technical and service departments we hope to enhance these products further.
