Impressive Display at Vitrum

There have been many UK initiatives this year designed to keep a healthy level of interest in what our industry has to offer whilst we move through a difficult year of trading, events such as Glass Talk, The G09 Regional Exhibitions and Glassex at Interbuild have had an impact and all have been supported by The Promac Group. No changes then when the events calendar reached Vitrum, one of Europe’s biggest glass exhibitions and the premier show case event this year for glass machinery and related glass products.

For.El, Promac’s long established partner in glass machinery out did its self this year with new machinery and improvements and upgrades to existing lines of equipment. For.El’s new Vertical Edging machine, a high speed shape grinding and flat edge polishing machine that delivers fully automatically a high quality finish to the peripheral edge of the glass. A stable favourite of the For.El range the Vertical Laminate Cutting Line has also been improved so that it can load and cut jumbo or half jumbo sheets of laminate glass quicker and easier with just one operator.

The theme of For.El’s display this year was evolution through technology and they didn’t disappoint with a new breed of high speed arrissing machines, quality control and shape detecting scanners, robot applicators for Edgetech’s Super Spacers, innovative gas coupling presses and structural sealing robots designed specifically for the architectural market. Other machinery enhancements has seen our Spacer Bar Benders developed so that they now work with high performance warm edge box spacer systems delivering high speed frame production with precision corners.

Although For.El is a big part of Promac’s glass division it’s not the only supplier to our expansive range of machinery, GFPm also exhibited its new revolutionary horizontal laminate cutting line along side a fully automatic shape cutting table with patented Low E edged deletion system. Lovati Fratelli exhibited a new horizontal grind edge, polishing machine that can work with internal and external curves, this machine has a fifteen position tool crib which allows for the further processing of holes, notches, pin and screw inserts as well as internal and external routing.

Promac are also delighted to announce the direct supply agency for Elephant Vacuum Lifters and as the name would suggest the build quality for these devices is incredibly robust as well as innovative. The full range has been developed to lift and transport every size, type and weight of glass from single sheet to full packs easily and safely, options include electrical and pneumatic rotation and swivel.

Joe Hague Divisional Head of Promac Glass Machinery said “In the New Year we will expand our portfolio of machinery and equipment to offer our customers competitive alternatives from leading worldwide manufacturers. Our commitment to bring value and service along with premium brands has never been stronger”
