Promac, the UK’s leading supplier of glass, PVC and aluminium window machinery with over 30 years experience, has been working with retail giant Safestyle UK on the retro fit of a For.El Super Spacer Applicator, onto their exiting Lisec line in order to produce a truly superb A rated window which could be offered to its customers at a really affordable price.

Mark Scaife, Safestyle’s Operations Director, explains why the retro fit was the way forward:”At Safestyle, we strive to be the best supplier of the best products with impeccable customer service, so following the introduction of the latest Window Energy Rating requirements, we realised that we wanted to exceed the standards, not just meet them. The concept of WERs is very visible for the consumer and is widely accepted in the retail market. We knew that by offering an A rated window, consumers would make the association with Safestyle offering the best on the market.

“We tasked a project team with researching the simulations that could get us an A using a variety of glass, profile and spacer combinations and identified the top performing products. We realised quite quickly the combination that we were going to use going forward and that included Super Spacer, which meant we needed to add a Super Spacer applicator. We identified that the Super Spacer applicator from For.El was the best solution for us, and was to be retrofitted onto our current Lisec line. Let it be said that at this stage we were obviously nervous, as there was no other For.El application on a Lisec line anywhere in the UK, but we weren’t worried, as the contract we set up with Promac meant that they were responsible for making the line integration successful and we trusted them.

“Wayne Hunter, Promac’s Group Service Director, and the Promac team took ownership of the project and their flexible approach was key to its success. They communicated everything effectively and worked efficiently and professionally throughout. This investment is one of a number of planned improvements to our production and we have no doubt that we will continue to build on our relationship with Promac when we look to invest further, as they have proven that they can deliver on their commitments.”
