North East fabricator TWR Trade Frames made a significant investment into automation six months ago to support customers with quality products, on time, every time and it’s already paying off.
Partnering with Promac, the UK’s leading supplier of glass, PVC and aluminium machinery, the investment - undertaken to improve factory efficiencies to drive the quality of its products forward to stay ahead of customers high expectations - has further cemented its position as one of the North East’s largest window and door manufacturers.
Terry Richardson Managing Director of TWR Trade Frames explains: “We took the decision to invest in automation because we could see clear benefits to customers. The results in the first six months are good. Not only have we further improved on the quality of our products, but we’re able to offer faster turnaround times on orders and have the capacity to supply more to customers.
“TWR is looking to the future, and our investment in new machinery with Promac is another way to show customers our long-term commitment to them. In today’s tough market installation companies need more backup than ever, and this is just part of our wider support package for customers.
“Promac has given us exceptional service, not just through the changeover, but afterwards with ongoing support. In fact, we have so much confidence in the process, since our initial investment with Promac we have added a fully online Urban vertical quad welder to further automate production.”
Derek Bonnard, Managing Director of Promac explains: “It’s great to see companies benefiting from automation. The Urban AKS6610 8 head welder and Urban SV800 CNC corner cleaner is designed to improve processes with both the welder and corner cleaner being fully online with bar code scanning which cut out the risk of human errors in production.”
