Promac, the UK’s leading supplier of glass, PVC and aluminium window machinery with over 30 years experience, joined customer YWC Group, one of the top five independent fabricators in the country, in Hellaby, South Yorkshire recently, to help them mark the end of a 2.5 million pound capital investment programme which has been borne out over the last 3 years. The final stage saw the installation of a For.El fully automatic argon gas coupling line, pro-cut saw and MTL Panther glass cutting table with edge deletion and the completion was marked with an Open Day and a factory tour.
Steve Cousins, Production Director at YWC Group explains:”The last 3 years have been very exciting for us as we have embarked on a huge investment programme in order to introduce a fully licensed recycling facility, a double bed C.N.C. router, a fully automatic welding, cleaning and racking line and most recently the gas coupling press. We are really proud of the developments and were delighted to be joined by Lady Mayor Rose McNeeley, the Shadow Health minister John Healey and Kevin Barron, the local MP for Rother Valley for the factory tour. We were also pleased to welcome David Hughes, the Director of Keepmoat Group, with whom we’ve enjoyed a longstanding working relationship in the provision of windows and doors.
“We have received considerable support from Promac throughout the final stage of our investment which has focussed on the glass side of our business. The installation of the new machinery was managed effectively with minimal disruption to our customers. There are a number of companies out there still miss-selling windows and doors to consumers, unable to produce a proven quality product in line with current legislative requirements. We use a sophisticated coated glass product, argon gas and warm edge spacer which, combined with our window products, means we can produce an A rated solution for our customers. We also use the Gasglass handheld analyser to audit our gas filling process. We’ve been in the industry for the past 30 years and believe the last 3 years investment has secured our future for many more years to come.”
